The Chemical Resistant Flexible Sealing Solution
VIPSealChem gives installers and contractors a flexible sealing solution for drainage systems that need high chemical resistance.
The coupling uses FKM synthetic rubber, which offers strong resistance to a wide range of chemicals, fluids and temperatures. This makes VIPSealChem a practical choice for low and non-pressurised applications where standard rubber materials such as EPDM, SBR or NBR may not offer enough protection.
VIPSealChem meets the demanding requirements of EN681-1 WB/WD and EN295-4. It also provides a flexible and watertight connection for above and below ground drainage systems.
As a result, VIPSealChem supports reliable sealing performance in areas where chemical exposure, contaminated ground or fuel spillages may be present.
Where can VIPSealChem be used?
Because of its chemical and temperature resistance, VIPSealChem works well in a wide range of demanding environments.
Common applications include:
- Chemical and process industries
- Pharmaceutical, medical and research laboratories
- Food processing plants
- Breweries
- Dairies
- Hospitals
- Badly contaminated ground
- Areas at risk of fuel spillages
Faster and simpler installation
VIPSealChem gets its chemical resistance from the FKM rubber used within the seal.
Therefore, installers do not need to use a fluoropolymer FEP liner or expanded PTFE seals. These materials often appear in other chemical resistant sealing products, but they can make installation more complex.
Instead, VIPSealChem installs in the same simple way as other products within the VIPSeal flexible coupling range. This helps reduce installation time, speed up repairs and deliver a more consistent sealing performance.

Greater flexibility on site
VIPSealChem can also be supplied as an adaptor coupling.
This gives contractors more flexibility when joining pipes with different outside diameters. In many cases, it removes the need for extra changes to existing pipework or prefabricated structures.
For this reason, VIPSealChem offers a practical solution where both chemical resistance and pipe size flexibility matter.

FKM high and low temperature service
FKM rubber performs well across a wide temperature range.
For long-term service, FKM can operate at temperatures up to 200°C without major damage to the polymer structure or mechanical properties.
In some service conditions, and for shorter exposure periods, FKM may also tolerate temperatures above 300°C.
In addition, FKM can perform in dynamic applications down to -15°C and static applications down to -30°C.
Where a project needs extreme temperature resistance but does not involve aggressive chemicals, VIPSeal flexible couplings can also use peroxide cured EPDM, known as EPDMp.
